Detailed description of Notifier Opal Optical Smoke Detector NFXI-OPT
The Opal NFXI-OPT Opal Optical Smoke Detector features a completely new detection chamber design, the result of years of research and development. This provides better responsiveness, reduces sensitivity changes caused by dust handling, and reduces false alarms due to insect and other debris ingress. The plug-in uses sophisticated processing circuitry that combines smoothing of the converters to help eliminate transient environmental noise conditions that can be the cause of unwanted alarms. The devices are managed by embedded software that runs complex algorithms that improve false alarm recovery and improve detection speed. The NFXI-OPT Opal has built-in short-circuit isolation and two built-in tri-color LEDs that provide a local 360-degree visual indication of the device's status. Programmed LEDs with red, amber and green static or flashing status indications are available.
