Description of NFXI-VIEW . High Sensitivity Sensor Smoke Detector
VIEW™ High Gain, High Sensitivity Amplifier based smart smoke sensor is a unique product NOTIFIER that provides extreme sensitivity to fire conditions, by detecting burning particles at the earliest. This is achieved by combining a patented optical chamber with advanced high power IR LED Diode and precision optical technology, which is combined with a unique high-end infrared receiver amplifier that enhances device sensitivity. The chamber is powered by sophisticated microprocessor and processing circuits featuring smoothing filter algorithms to help eliminate transient environmental noise conditions and reduce nuisance alarms. Advanced detection capabilities are combined with advanced AWACS™ algorithms in NOTIFIER's fire control panel. The result is a very sensitive yet stable system that can achieve occlusion sensitivity of 0.06 to 6.41%/m, providing up to 100 times higher sensitivity than standard photoelectric smoke sensors. In addition, the light beam and algorithm, allow the system to distinguish between dust particles and smoke. Using these algorithms, the VIEW™ system provides drift compensation, three levels of maintenance alarms, a selection of nine alarm levels, and nine pre-alarm levels. The system includes a self-learning sensitivity adjustment that sets the pre-alarm level just above the perceived peak at extended intervals for each sensor's actual environment. Multiple sensor algorithms allow the controller to review readings up to six sensors in an area to provide faster detection of unusual fires. Using point type intelligent sensors, the VIEW™ system inherently lacks the transit time the sensing point to the detector, (an inherent element in suction systems) delaying the sensing of a fire condition and because it does not rely on a single sensor for the room, no dilution can occur. A point sensor also allows the control panel to provide the operator with an accurate description of where the fire is rather than a room alarm.
