Description of Modbus-GW™ Gateway, Fire Alarm Catalog Notifier
The Modbus gateway provides a communication link between networks using the Modbus/TCP communication protocol and fire alarm control panels (FACPs) residing on the NFN network. The NFN network communicates with the Modbus Gateway through the NOTI-FIRE-NET network through the network gateway on any NCM. Modbus communication protocol is suitable for Modbus Application Specific Protocol v1.1b The Modbus Port Validation Tool, a programming utility included with the Modbus Gateway assembly, is used to validate the Modbus port. Modbus Gateways are designed to require very little disturbance. In most applications you will simply enter the TCP/IP settings for your network and the nodes you want to monitor the Gateway will automatically map all target points and give you a user friendly alarm.
