Detailed description of Viking Accelerator Model D-2 The Viking Model D-2 accelerator is a quick-opening device, with integral anti-flood assembly, used to speed up the operation of differential type dry pipe valves. Accelerators (quick openers) are recommended on all differential dry line valves and are required on certain capacity dry pipe systems. Refer to the relevant NFPA government and standards.
