The PIBV2 supervisory switch monitors the open position of the post indicator and butterfly control valve. PIBV2's sturdy housing is intended for indoor and outdoor use. When installed with the actuator in the vertical position, the PIBV2 is a NEMA 3R rated per UL. The PIBV2 has a flexible design that can accommodate post indicator, butterfly and many other wall posts, recessed wall posts and pressure relief valves. The unique bidirectional actuator PIBV2 allows the device to be installed in increment or decrement flag settings. Installation is made easier with the PIBV2 single-side conduit entrance. By providing a direct path to the power source, no right angle fittings are required. Installation is further simplified by the PIBV2 adjustable length actuator with convenient escapement for installation on shorter valves. This eliminates the need to cut the shaft. The PIBV2 has 100 percent synchronization that activates the alarm panel and local chime simultaneously. Additionally, the switch is designed to operate in temperatures the range 40°C to 49°C (–40°F to 120°F). PIBV2 is equipped with tamper-proof screws to prevent unauthorized entry. Internally, two sets of SPDT (Form C) synchronized switches are housed in a durable terminal block to ensure reliable performance.
