VK544-Extra-large Standard Response ELO (ELO) Dry Nozzle, is a sensitive thermal spray nozzle suitable for use in frozen areas. These dry stand-alone ELO nozzles are FM approved for storage and non-storage applications. In certain FM cold storage settings, dry ELO nozzles can offer a design advantage with lower water requirements. In these applications, a dry ELO must be installed on a wet pipe system, per FM datasheet 8-9. In non-storage applications, when used in dry or preaction systems, sprinklers are designed to prevent water or condensation entering the drop nipple before the sprinkler is operational.
