The VK503 (Viking Sppressler Rapid Response (ESFR) Prink Sprinkler VK503) is a quick-response elemental type sprinkler designed for early fire suppression.

With a nominal K-Factor of 16.8 (242 meters) and a special deflector, this sprinkler produces large, high-momentum water droplets in a hemispherical pattern below the deflector. VK503 penetration directly wets the burning fuel surface while cooling the air early in high challenge flame development.
The VK503 Early Preventive Response Nozzle can be used to protect common types of storage. Primarily intended to protect the following types of storage, however, which tend to create serious challenge fires: rigid and solid pile storage and portable, double, multi-row and portable (no open) rack storage (with open bin or solid shelf) .Viking ESFR Prink Sprinkler VK503 provides protection for most common storage materials, including: - Packaged or unpacked Class I, II, III and IV items .-- Plastic is expanded and unsorted. In addition, some storage arrangements for roll paper, aerosol cans and rub-ber tires can be protected by the Sprinkler Viking ESFR VK03.
