The VK377 Storage Nozzle is an extra-large sprinkler with heat-resistant glass ball available in a number of different finishes and temperature ratings to meet design requirements. Special coatings Polyester and Electroless Nickel PTFE (ENT) can be used in decorative applications where color is desired.
In addition, the VK377 Storage Nozzles covered with these coatings have been studied for installation in corrosive environments and are listed/approved as outlined in the Approval Chart. Extra large holes provide greater flow at lower pressure than standard orifice or large hole sprinklers. This feature allows to reduce pipe sizes for hydraulically calculated sprinkler systems that require high water densities. The quick response of the VK377 extra large water jet can eliminate the need for a fire pump or reduce the size of the pump if necessary. On existing systems, replacing large bore sprinklers with extra large bore nozzles can provide the higher densities needed to allow for increased hazard classification of occupancy. The quick response nozzle can be used as an open nozzle (glass bulb and pip cap assembly) on deluge systems.
