The Viking Mirage® Quick Response ELO Concealed Nozzle, is a heat-welded bonding nozzle designed for installation on concealed duct systems where the appearance of a smooth ceiling is required. Pre-assembled sprinkler with thread adapter for installation with low profile cap assembly offering up to ½ (12.7 mm) vertical adjustment.
The Viking VK469 nozzle has a two-piece design that allows the sprinkler to be installed and tested before the visor is installed. The push-up design on the platform, on the base of the concealed plate, allows for easy installation of the cover plate after the system has been tested and the ceiling finish has been applied. The cover assembly can be removed and reinstalled, allowing temporary removal of ceiling panels without removing the sprin-kler system service or removing the sprinklers.
The Viking VK469 nozzle's extra-large opening provides greater flow at lower pressures than standard nozzles or large vents. This feature allows a higher water density to be applied when water pressure is limited. Quick response to water spray Extra large sprinklers can eliminate the need for a fire pump or reduce the size of the pump if necessary. On existing systems, replacing large bore sprinklers with extra large bore nozzles can provide the higher densities needed.
