Detailed description of Special Nozzle VK697

Viking Attic Upright VK697 is an application specific attic nozzle model that provides outstanding fire resistance in combustible and non-flammable attic spaces when used in conjunction with the Viking V-BB (Back to Back) model. and V-SD (Single Directional), and V-HIP application specific nozzles. Special Nozzle VK697 installed in vertical position, with deflector parallel to roof, Upright Attic used in combination with V-BB model increases the allowable range 60 threads to 80, (18, 3 m to 24.4 m). The VK697 nozzle can be installed with steel (black or galvanized) or CPVC, and allows the use of CPVC to feed the protected space below the attic (only CPVC is allowed on wet pipe systems). They are available in copper or with a corrosion resistant Electroless Nickel (ENT) coating where salt water and other corrosive elements are a consideration. The cULus standard VK697 Special Nozzle is approved with specific application instructions for use as a special sprinkler as defined by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
