Operation 2/4 wire photoelectric smoke detector SLR-835B-2/-4 :
The SLR-835B series of detectors are integrated with 2 multi-color LEDs for status display. Under normal operation, the LED will flash green every 3 seconds. When the detector is dirty, the LED will flash red every 3 seconds. And when the detector is in alarm state, the LED will light red. The device consists of a transmitter LED and a receiver LED placed at an angle in a closed-black chamber called the smoke chamber. In the normal state, the receiver LED will not receive any light the emitter LED. In the event of a fire, smoke enters the smoke chamber and deflects light rays the emitter LED, one of which will reach the receiver LED and thanks to the receiver LED will convert it an electrical signal. The electrical signal will be processed and transmitted to the central cabinet.
