KV-LITE FP-AR -C6 Fire Extinguishing Foam
Fluoro Protein -Al Alcohol Foam resistance based on protein material good sealing and excellent burn resistance KV-LITE FP-AR is suitable for both non-polar and polar, flammable solvent fires.
- KV-LITE FP-AR is based on protein material, providing good blockade and excellent burn resistance. KV-LITE FP-AR is formulated with hydrolyzed proteins, fluoro chemicals, metal salts, special stabilizers and preservatives to give the best performance even on Polar solvents. KV-LITE FP-AR forms a thin polymeric film that adheres at the interface between the foam and the water-soluble Polar solvent.
This thin polysaccharide film protects the foam without destroying the film with polar solvents. Polymeric membranes have self-sealing properties whereby the membrane, if disturbed, regenerates itself. The KV-LITE FP-AR is suitable for both non-polar and polar, flammable solvent fires. Its unique properties are great foam stability, exceptional fire resistance & high sealing ability.
Applications
- KV-LITE FP-AR is available at 3 x 3% and 3 x 6% focus
- Can be used with fresh water as well as sea water.
- Can be applied with the help of all kinds of nozzles, inductors, foam chambers, etc.
- Complies with all requirements of SOLAS 1974 as amended (2003)
- Used to protect tank farms, oil piers, refineries and offshore oil rigs involved in large hydrocarbon and/or alcohol fires.
