- Optical smoke detector, Model DET-C631 is suitable for general smoke detection, especially effective in detecting large visible smoke particles such as those produced by smoldering wood. , paper, PVC or polyurethane foam. Smoke detector detects fire by scattering of infrared beam, the circuit consists of an infrared beam emitter and receiver. The emitting and receiving lens are located in the optical sensor chamber, which filters out any interference external lights, without preventing the ingress of smoke particles.
