When used with high expansion generators, JET-X High-Expansion Foam Concentrate can fill large areas, such as hangars, warehouses, cargo holds, mine shafts and quenching horizontal and vertical (three-dimensional) fires. When used with medium expansion foam equipment, the concentrate forms a foam sheet that prevents the release of fuel vapors and also provides additional cooling due to the higher water content. - UL listed, concentrates are available in 5 gal (19 L) drums, 55 gal (208 L) drums, or 265 gal (1003 L) drums. The concentrate is a synthesis based formulation consisting of hydrocarbon surfactants, solvents and stabilizers for use with medium and high expansion foam generators. It is transported and stored as a concentrate for ease of use and significant savings in weight and volume. JET-X 2% high expansion foam JET-X 2% high expansion foam can be used to create foam with an expansion ratio 50:1 to 1000:1 depending on the generator type and its operating pressure. It just has to be balanced with fresh water. When used with high expansion transmitters, the recommended ratio is 2% (2 gallons of JET-X concentrate with 98 gallons of water). When used with a medium expansion foam nozzle, it is typically calibrated at 2% concentration. JET-X 2¾% High Expansion Foam Concentration JET-X 2 ¾% High expansion foam concentration can be used to create foam with expansion ratios 50:1 to 1000:1 depending on the generator type and its operating pressure. It can be balanced with fresh, salt or hard water. When used with high expansion transmitters, the recommended rate is at 2.75% (2.75 gallons of JET-X concentrate with 97.25 gallons of water). When used with a medium expansion foam nozzle, it is typically calibrated at 2% concentration.
