EVAX 50 includes all the features needed to provide an effective voice evacuation system. With the addition of a zone divider, remote microphone board, and expansion module, the EVAX 50 can be custom configured to meet the needs of most applications.

The voice evacuation system shall be EVAX Systems Series EVAX 50 or otherwise approved. The voice evacuation system will provide 50 watts of signal power and 50 watts of voice power and will be UL listed. The voice evacuation system must be microprocessor-based and must contain a built-in microphone, 50 watts of audio amplifier, sound generator, digital message repeater, 120VAC power supply, and battery charger. Voice evacuation announcements/signals will be broadcast until the Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP) is reset or until emergency firefighters interrupt the broadcast with an instruction page. On system reset will automatically return to standby condition (normal operation). A secondary message will be provided which can be triggered by closing the communication the FACP or any normally open communication device. The remote paging microphone(s) shall be supported by the system via a supervised circuit. The remote microphone(s) can be mounted up to 5000 feet the voice control panel.
