- The control module is robust against shock and vibration and can be used as a self-contained system with its own internal Lithium battery. CHECKFIRE devices are commonly used with ANSUL vehicle fire suppression systems for 24-hour equipment protection including detection, alarm, shutdown and fire suppression system operation.
- Two detection options are available including Linear Detection Wire and Spot Heat Detection.

- Detect options: Linear detection wire Linear detection wire consists of two spring steel conductors separated by a heat sensitive insulator. At the wire's temperature rating, 356°F (180°C), the insulator melts, allowing the two conductors to come contact with each other. This contact provides electrical continuity between the two conductors. Linear detection lines are supplied in lengths of 100 ft (30.5 m) or 500 ft (152.4 m) and must be ordered separately.
- Spot heat detection - Normally open heat detectors, contact closed devices. The fixed temperature design of these detectors will cause the contacts to close when the temperature of the ambient air reaches the detector setpoint temperature. The heat detector is available in three preset temperatures, 270°F (132°C), 325°F (163°C) and 360°F (182°C). CHECKFIRE MP-N offers two reliable forms of detection used alone or in combination. Linear wire detection consists of two spring steel conductors separated by a heat sensitive insulator. At the wire's temperature rating, 356°F (180°C), the insulator melts and the two conductors come contact, sending a signal to the detection module to signal the control module to activate the fire suppression system.
- With Spot Heat Detection, the heat probe is in close contact and signals the control module to initiate fire suppression when the temperature reaches 250°F or 350°F (121°C or 177°C) depending depending on the selected model.
