Detailed Description of Beam Nittan FIRERAY 50RU 100RU Smoke Detector
The system consists of a unit that combines an infrared transmitter and receiver. The signal generated in the transmitter element and reflected by the prism back to the received component is analyzed for the presence of smoke. The internal microprocessor determines the alarm condition when a predefined level is reached. The system is designed to be mounted so the beam will project between 19 vertices (0.5 m) and 24 vertices (0.6 m) below and parallel to the ceiling. Side detection can be up to 30ft. (9,144m) on either side of the beam, providing a maximum total coverage area of 19,800 square feet (60ft. 330ft. or 18.29m x 100m).

The Projection Beam Type Smoke Detector must be a 4-wire 12/24 VDC Device to be used with nationally listed Accredited Testing Laboratory providing 4-wire control panel. Units will be listed to U.L. 268 and will include an integrated transmitter and receiver. The detector will operate between a range of 16.5 ft to 330 ft. (5m to 100m). The beam's temperature range should be -4°F to 131°F (-20°C to +55°C). The beam detector must feature automatic gain control that will compensate for gradual signal degradation the accumulation of dirt on the lens. Unit will include a bracket wall mount. The test will be performed using a flter occlusion test calibration. The smoke detector reflector beam will be either Nittan FIRERAY 50RU (160 ft./50m) or 100RU (330 ft./100m).
