Asul HYDROCARBON TYPE B foam AFFF
Class B foam concentrate is the best choice for preventing fires involving petroleum products, LNG, rubber, and flammable and combustible liquids; such as diesel fuel, crude petroleum and ethanol.
ANSULITE® Film Foaming Solution (AFFF) can be applied through a variety of delivery systems offering great flexibility. Foam is an ideal fire extinguishing option for airports, refineries, manufacturing plants, municipal fire departments, and other operations involving the transportation, handling or handling of flammable liquids. It is available as 1%, 3%, and 6% concentrates or 1% and 3% cryoprotective concentrates. As with other Class B foam concentrates, ANSULITE AFFF extinguishes fires of flammable gases, liquids, greases and similar materials by excluding oxygen and inhibiting the release of flammable vapors. The combustion of these liquids and gases involves rapid vapor phase oxidation of the fuel and more subsequent involvement of the fuel due to radiant heat feedback. - Agent options:
- ANSULITE Aqueous Film Forming Foam (AFFF) is available as 1%, 3% and 6% concentrate or as 1% and 3% protected freeze concentrate. - ANSULITE Aqueous Film-Forming Foam (AFFF) Concentrates Aqueous Film-Forming Foam (AFFF) is a synthetic foam consisting of a combination of fluorochemical and hydrocarbon surfactants combined with solvents and high boiling water. Intended for use on Class B fires, the foam's excellent wetting properties also make it useful against Class A fires. Three extinguishing mechanisms are in effect when concentrates are used. : A water film is formed which helps to prevent the release of fuel vapors. The blanket which the film forming fluid escapes, effectively removes oxygen the fuel surface. The water content of the foam provides a cooling effect. Concentrates can be used with both aspirated and non-aspirated discharge devices because of the low energy required for foaming. They can be used with dry chemical extinguishing agents regardless of the order of application to provide even greater fire resistance. Transport and storage as a concentrate provides ease of use and significant savings in weight and volume. - UL listed and available in 5 gal (19 L), 55 gal (208 L) drum, 265 gal (1003 L) tote.
- ANSULITE 1% AFFF Concentrate / ANSULITE 1% AFFF Frozen Protected AFFF - ANSULITE 1% AFFF and cryoprotected AFFF concentrates are used for low water solubility class B hydrocarbon fuels such as fuel, diesel fuel. ANSULITE The minimum usable temperature of 1% protected AFFF is 20°F (–29°C) minimum.
- ANSULITE 3% (AFC-3A) AFFF Focus
- ANSULITE 3% (AFC-3A)AFFF Concentrate is designed for use on fires with low water solubility Class B hydrocarbon fuels such as crude oil, gasoline, diesel fuel and aviation fuel. For use as a 3% scale solution in fresh, salted or hard water, it can also be used and stored as a 3% premix solution in clean or potable water only. The correct ratio or mixture ratio is 3 parts concentrate to 97 parts water.
- One NSULITE 3% Freeze-Protected AFFF Concentrate
- ANSULITE 3% AFFF cryogenic protected is used for low water solubility Class B hydrocarbon fuel fires such as crude oil, gasoline, diesel fuel and aviation fuel. The concentrate is cold-protected to 20°F (29°C). It is intended for use as a 3% rate solution in fresh, salted or hard water. It can also be used and stored as a 3% premix solution in clean or potable water. However, the diluent will freeze at 32°F (0°C). The correct ratio or mixture ratio is 3 parts concentrate to 97 parts water.
- ANSULITE 6% (AFC-3) AFFF Concentrate
- ANSULITE 6% (AFC-3) AFFF Concentrate is designed for use on fires with low water solubility Class B hydrocarbon fuels such as crude oil, gasoline, diesel fuel and aviation fuel. It is intended for use as a 6% rate solution in fresh, salted or hard water. It can also be used and stored as a 6% premix solution in clean or potable water. The correct ratio or mixture ratio is 6 parts concentrate to 94 parts water.
