Descriptions:
Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is an excellent fire suppressant. It has been used in the fire protection industry for many years, and is listed under the NFPA-12 Carbon Dioxide Extinguishing System. CO2 is used for many different systems; including full flooding, local application and bottom inertness. CO2 extinguishes a fire by removing oxygen the surrounding area and, for locally applied systems, breaks the fire triangle by removing heat. Due to CO2 safety precautions, CO2 is only used for very specific applications, and not where hazards are present. Please consult AFT for any questions when using CO2. It can be supplied in high pressure and low pressure tanks.

The components
