Detects even the smallest smoldering fire. The HeliOS® AMX5000 dust collector smoke detector is a new generation, highly sensitive, active smoke detection system. In addition to pre-signal assessment and contamination, the detector's sensitivity can be tailored to the application. The HELIOS® AMX5000 includes one or two independent suction lines with suction holes and a highly sensitive smoke sensor. Each suction line is continuously monitored through an airflow monitoring system to identify pipe breaks and dirt at the intake. High-powered fans draw air the monitored area or equipment through the suction line to the evaluation unit, where the air is continuously evaluated by smoke sensors. The display and operation fields of the evaluator show the smoke concentration in the aspirated air, in addition to alarm, error, and other status messages. Any increase in smoke concentration is identified extremely quickly. Three pre-signals and a master alarm can be programmed and transferred to the fire control panel for processing.
