PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
- The FD 8040 optical flame detector is designed to give early warning of reactive fire with an open flame. The detector responds within the light spectrum of the flame and has a maximum sensitivity of the infrared range. The principle varies based on the acceptance of flame emissions with their typical flicker frequencies throughout the spectrum. Infrared sensor signal - amplified, filtered and shaped is being sent to the time delay circuit. If the flame impact has been reduced during the delay, the detector dose is not activated.
- The fire detector consists of a printed panel, mounted in a plastic body with an optical filter and underside. Flat point screw (optional) prevents unauthorized removal of the fire detector. A 2mm head screwdriver is required for locking and unlocking. The fire detector's two red LEDs are indicating fire status, providing 360-degree visibility. It is recommended that fire detectors be mounted on premises where a fire condition supplemented by a flame can develop. Avoid mountong in premises with flashing lights. Fire detectors must be mounted on the ceiling in a way that does not allow direct sunlight.
