At 9:30 a.m. on July 4, a fire accompanied by loud explosions occurred at the embroidery shop of Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh's family on Quang Trung Street, Chanh Lo Ward in the center of Quang Ngai City.
Smoke billowed out from the sky, emitting a mist that rushed into many houses along Quang Trung Street, Quang Ngai City. Ms. Tran Thi Hai (living in Quang Ngai city), heard some staff shouting ''it's on fire...it's on fire'', many people struggled to find a way to put out the fire, but there were many explosions and the fire spread too quickly, so powerless.
The sudden fire caused many store employees to flee. Some neighboring families also evacuated away from the area where the big fire broke out. Receiving the news, the Quang Ngai Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Department mobilized three specialized vehicles and dozens of soldiers to the scene.
The fire caused traffic on Quang Trung street to be chaotic and jammed locally. Traffic police force in Quang Ngai city blocked the area passing through the fire shop, divided traffic flow and regulation.
The initial assessment of the authorities, while welding, cutting and repairing Mr. Nguyen Phan's house, some workers let sparks shoot through, causing a fire in the shop next to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh.
