HD Fire IE225 & IE450 FM Portable Inline Inline Foam Inductors Series IE225 and IE450 FM Inductive Handheld/Handheld Inline Foam Inductors are designed primarily for use in manual firefighting to provide a method of weighing for simplicity and reliability in continuous flow applications. Each inductor is designed for a predefined water pressure to give the correct ratio at that pressure and discharge rate. The inductor is preset at flow and pressure as specified in Table I. An increase or decrease in inlet pressure will result in an increase or decrease in flow rate, which in turn will change the ratio.

The construction material of the inductor is corrosion-resistant stainless steel or copper. The inductors have instantaneous coupling at the input and output for easy and quick deployment in the field. A sturdy handle is provided to move the inductor during operation. A 1.5-meter transparent clear braided spool with a stainless steel straw is provided. The IE225 and IE450 tools are to be used with BP225 and BP450 compliant foam branch pipes. Improper branch pipe selection will not give the desired performance. The mismatch of duct and branch pipe will result in reduced throw or no induction. Reference table for exact matching of inductor and branch tubes, longer lengths may be used if care is taken to keep the tube straight and horizontal between the conduit and branch pipe. It is recommended to use 1 length of 15 meters or 2 lengths of 15 meters of 2-1/2 inch tubing to match the inductor to the branch tube.
