• The pressure relief control valve must be a pilot operated diaphragm valve designed to allow flow when upstream pressure is above the adjustable setpoint of the control pilot and the throttle when backpressure is closed current drops below the adjustment setpoint.

• The main valve must be a hydraulically operated, single diaphragm actuated, spherical or angle valve. Y-pattern valves will not be allowed. The valve shall contain a disc assembly and a diaphragm that forms a sealed cavity below the valve cover, separating the operating pressure the line pressure. The diaphragm must be constructed of reinforced nylon (EPDM + Nylon Cloth) and must not seal directly to the seat valve and must be fully supported by the valve body and cap. Rolling diaphragm construction will not be allowed and there will be no piston operating the main valve or any pilot controls.

• Main valve body and cover shall be ductile iron ASTM A536 or GJS 500-7 and all internal casting components shall be Ductile Iron or (SUS 304) Stainless Steel. All ductile iron components, including the body and housing, must be lined with an NSF 61 certified Epoxy coating by electrostatic fusion. All main valve regulating components (valve seat and disc guide) must be stainless steel. The valve body and cover must be machined with a 360 degree locating lip to ensure proper alignment.

• The disc unit and diaphragm must contain Buna-N neoprene (EPDM + Nylon webbing) that is securely held on either side by a disc holder and disc guide. Membrane assembly using bolts or screw caps to hold the component will not be allowed. Working pressure 16/25 bar Test shell pressure: 24/37.5 bar Working temperature -10°C to 80°C

• The contact part of the EPDM+ Fabric must be in contact with the valve seat and sealed. The disc and diaphragm assemblies must be guided by two separate bearings, one installed in the valve cover and the other concentrically located in the valve seat, to prevent deflection and to ensure positive disc contact. Central guide valve will not be allowed. All necessary repairs must be made the top of the valve while the body remains in alignment.

• Pilot control system for valve must contain external Y strainer, Adjustable closing speed, Relief valve pressure and ball valve on all body connections. All pilot control systems will use copper and brass tubing regardless of valve size. The adjustment range of the pressure relief valve should be 20~200 psi (100~300 psi optional). Mode of Operation

• Open when the upstream pressure exceeds the set point., Close when the upstream pressure is the lower set point., Adjust the closing speed.

• When installed on the branch of the tee acts as a Pressure Relief Valve.

• When installed between two pressure zones acts as a Pressure Maintenance Valve.

• When installed when discharging the pump acts as a Back Pressure Control Valve.

• Relief: Whenever the system pressure exceeds the pilot preset, the valve will immediately open to release excess pressure and keep the system in a safe environment.

• Maintain: Prevents upstream (main line) pressure falling below preset pressure.

• Adjustable set point, Adjustment range: Standard: 20 ~ 200 psig, Optional: 100 ~ 300 psig.

• Horizontal installation.
