Wildfires continue to break out: Around 11am on June 12, a fire appeared in the Khe Huong forest area, in hamlet 8, Nam Loc commune, Nam Dan. The functional forces mobilized over 400 people to fight the fire, but due to strong southwest wind and hot sun, the fire quickly spread, burning 20 hectares of forest, including 8 hectares of pine forest. On the morning of June 13, in the Nam Loc hill area, forest fires continued to break out. It was not until 19h of the same day that the forces were able to extinguish it. From Nam Loc commune, at dawn on June 13, forest fire spread to the O O forest area, Thanh Lam commune, Thanh Chuong district. By 11 am of the same day, the fire was basically under control, but it was estimated that more than 3 hectares of acacia were burned by the fire. Also on June 13, Thanh Chuong district also had two more forest fires in Thanh Chi and Thanh Thuy communes. Although the fire department of the district and 2 communes focused on the rescue, due to the hot sun and lack of water source, the fire also burned 2.5 hectares of pine and acacia hybrid, burning down a house on stilts. At 6 am on June 14, these two fire points were extinguished. On June 13 and 14, in Dien Chau district, two forest fires occurred in Dien Phu and Dien Doai communes. Fire burned 3 hectares of pine forest at Hon Dung mountain (Dien Doai). By 1 p.m. the fire was under control. Before that, at 4 pm on June 13, in the pine forest of Than Vu mountain, in hamlets 1, 2, 3, Dien Phu commune, a forest fire occurred with an area of nearly 10 hectares. Thus, within 3 days, there were 6 forest fires in Nghe An, 38.5 ha of forest were burned. According to Mr. Hoang Quoc Viet, Director of Nghe An Forest Protection Department, the burnt forest area is mainly production forest and thick vegetation. Some areas of acacia have been harvested, but people have not handled the vegetation thoroughly, so the forest fire caught fire very quickly. Very dangerous: Nghe An is still extremely hot, the temperature is high, the southwest wind is blowing strongly and burning. Before the stressful situation of the weather, on June 13, the Provincial Committee for Forest Protection and Development issued Official Letter No. 429 /TB-BCD on forest fire warning level 5 - extremely dangerous level to all Forest Protection Departments and forest owners to raise awareness of forest fire prevention and fighting. Mr. Hoang Quoc Viet, Director of Nghe An Forest Protection Department, added that according to hydrometeorological forecasts, hot and dry conditions continue to be complicated, and the risk of forest fires is high. The Forest Protection Department has advised the Provincial People's Committee and localities to well implement forest fire prevention and fighting; directing the force to be on duty 24/24 hours; ready mobile forces to coordinate with districts to respond to fire; strictly control the use of fire in the forest and along the forest edge, ensure smooth information, respond to and handle forest fire situations. The current difficulty is that many areas of pine forests managed by the locality have not been processed, so there is always a potential fire hazard. In addition, the responsibilities of some communes and forest owners are not high in fire prevention and fighting, and the ideology of relying on forest rangers and other forces makes forest fire prevention and fighting difficult. towel. Therefore, local authorities and forest rangers focus on doing well in fire prevention and fighting, strictly implementing the 24/24h duty regime, quickly handling situations that occur...
