The HD Fire M 211 Fire Extinguisher is durable manually controlled for permanent installation as well as trailer mount. They are commonly used to protect flammable liquid storage tanks, load racks, sea dykes and many other industrial applications. The HD Fire M 211 Fire Extinguisher has a number of design features that make it easy to operate, minimal maintenance, and resistant to common destructive environments. To be used with sprinklers, non-aspirators and sprinklers with flow ranges up to 600 GPM (2270 LPM).
The HD Fire M 211 has welded carbon steel 2.5 inch (65mm) steel. All steel parts are hot-dip galvanized and epoxy painted for excellent corrosion resistance. Vertical and horizontal rotation is through a corrosion-resistant brass swivel joint with two rows of stainless steel ball bearings. Both vertical and horizontal movements are controlled by the handle with twist lock. Capable of heavy traffic and can be operated manually by a single firefighting aircraft. The design ensures that counter-reaction forces are prevented affecting the horizontal and vertical position of the screen. The screen is 360-degree capable. Continuous horizontal rotation and elevation angle +90 degrees. above horizontal and -45 degrees. below is horizontal. The water valves in the exhaust manifold reduce turbulence and loss of friction thus increasing nozzle efficiency to achieve greater range. To ensure desired performance, friction loss through the gun must be considered while selecting the nozzle and the flow through a screen with reference to the base pressure available at the gun inlet.
