EVX-25E / EVX-50E / EVX-100E EXPANDING MANUAL INTRODUCTION The EVX-25E / EVX-50E / EVX-100E is an amplifier, tone generator, power supply and monitoring interface. It is designed to be used in conjunction with the EVAX 25/50/100 to provide additional speaker output power. It can also be used independently in conjunction with the Fire Alarm Control Panel to provide voice evacuation when automated messages are not desired. Installation and operation are identical to that of the EVAX 25/50/100 (see P/N Installation Manual 1- 5001 Rev.). Except that no digital message is present. When used in conjunction with EVAX 25/50/100, the Expander will act as a slave reproducing the sounds and messages created by the master. When used independently, the Expander connects to the FACP exactly like the EVAX 25/50/100 to provide automatic tone in voice and alarm override capabilities. All terminal designations and volume control are identical to the EVAX 25/50/100. One exception is on the Expander SN1 which defines Tone, Master/Slave, Battery and Microphone monitoring. No SN2.
