Fire extinguishers are available in a wide range of sizes with ABC dry powder, Monnex powder, AFFF foam and water models. Water: Water extinguishers are used on Class A fires involving carbonate materials such as wood, paper and textiles by cooling the fire and removing the heat needed for combustion. The water spray provides a better wetting action that penetrates the burning materials underneath and aids in heat reduction.
