1. Description
The BEAM1224S is a long distance reflective infrared smoke detector designed for open areas to achieve fire suppression, working in conjunction with a control panel. The detector consists of an assembly - a transmitter and receiver and a reflector. Smoke entering the area between the assembly and the reflector reduces the strength of the signal reaching the receiver. The detector will issue a warning signal when the occlusion reaches a preset threshold. A fault signal will be sent when the beams are blocked in the event of a fault alarm. The microprocessor compensates for obscure changes caused by dust accumulation on the detector, continuously monitors signal strength, and periodically upgrades alarm and failure thresholds. The detector will issue a fault signal to require maintenance when the automatic compensation reaches its limit.
