Basic fire prevention measures you should know
In the production and business activities of the target, the fire prevention measures are mainly used to create a non-combustible and difficult to burn environment by replacing the production and business stages, the environment, equipment and materials... from flammable. , has a fire hazard, becomes non-flammable and difficult to burn.
B. FIRE FIGHTING METHODS There are 3 basic firefighting methods:
1. Separate oxygen from flammable substances (isolation): Is a method of isolating oxygen from flammable substances or separating flammable substances from the burning area. Use a fire extinguisher to cover the surface of the fire. Prevent oxygen in the air from burning objects. At the same time, move burning objects out of the fire area. Isolation equipment such as pot covers, sand, firefighting foam, blankets, sacks, and tarpaulins.
2. Dilute the concentration of oxygen and combustible mixture (asphyxia) Is using substances that do not participate in the fire reaction to spray into the fire area to dilute the oxygen concentration and combustion mixture to the point of suffocation and not being able to maintain the fire. Use fire extinguishing agents such as CO2 gas, nitrogen (N2) and inert foam.
3. Cooling method (endothermic) Using fire extinguishing substances that have the ability to absorb heat reduces the temperature of the fire to less than the ignition temperature of the fuel and the fire will go out. Use fire extinguishing agents such as cold inert gas CO2, N2 H2O. When using fire-fighting water, be careful not to use water to fight fires that have electricity, hydrophobic chemicals such as gasoline, oil, gas, and fires with high temperatures above 19000C with too little water.
C. PROCEDURE FOR RESOLVING FIRE INCIDENTS When a fire occurs, it is necessary to urgently carry out the following tasks:
1.Fire alarm (automatic, gong, alarm)
2. Cut off power to the fire area
3. Organize rescue of victims, rescue people and move property out of the fire area.
4. Organize forces to use on-site firefighting equipment to extinguish the fire.
5. Call the nearest professional firefighting team or report to the city's firefighting center (phone number 114).
6. Protect and prevent bad elements from taking advantage of firefighting to steal property, maintain order and facilitate firefighting.
7. Provide directions to the parking area to see the source of firefighting water for professional firefighting forces when arriving to assist.
8. Coordinate closely with professional firefighting forces to extinguish fires.
9. Deploy forces to protect the fire scene after extinguishing the fire.
