- Depending on the design of the particular foam system, the flow equalizer can operate with inlet pressures as low as 80 psi (552 kPa). However, in most systems, a water pressure of 125 psi to 200 psi (862 and 13.8 bar) is required. The required flow rate and operating pressure at the foam generator are of prime importance in determining the required flow equalizer inlet pressure. The flow equalizer must match the flow rate of the defoamer to function properly.
- Model PL series scaler can be used with all types of ANSUL foam concentrates. The ratios are available in a wide range of sizes for stationary foam system applications. These applications also require an atmospheric foam concentrate tank. Portable line levelers with fire hydrant threaded connections (usually used with matching hand nozzles) are also available in sizes PL-60 to PL-350. The hole metering option is 3% or 6%.
