- Dry chemical piping system spray nozzles are designed for a specific application method and discharge pattern. Most are available in different sizes and flow rates.
- Spray nozzle D - a widely dispersed and diffused exhaust pattern; used for total flood
- C CNH nozzle - elliptical or circular discharge model; local app aerial protection
- S S nozzles - - similar discharge and protection as C Cv nozzles but with a longer range; use where higher air velocities are encountered - F injection nozzle
- discharges in a thin, flat semicircular pattern; sprinkler T - spout - flat flush pattern covers 160 in (4064 mm); used for high flow rate and range of fires - Spray nozzle X X - discharges with high speed and flow rate in a conical pattern.
Option These systems use as provided by ANSUL as:
- FORAY- dry chemical A monammonium phosphate based for use on grades A, B, and C fire. Dry chemical based on sodium bicarbonate - C-A for use on Class B and C fires. Purple-K, A potassium bicarbonate based dry chemical is the most effective ANSUL dry chemical agent for Class B and C fires.
- MET-LX, A sodium chloride based dry powder for use on most Class D fires involving flammable metals such as magnesium. (For model C only.) MET-L-KYL A sodium bicarbonate based activated and dry chemical absorbent specially designed to suppress Class D fires involving most alkali metals (liquids pyrophoric which ignite on contact with air) as triethylal aluminum. (For model C only.) LITH-X A graphite-based dry powder blended for use on lithium fires. The LITH-X agent is also effective on fires involving high melting point metals such as zirconium, titanium and sodium potassium. (For model C only.)
