With a K-factor of 11.2 (161), the nozzle produces the necessary flows to meet the usual Hazardous density requirements at lower pressures than 5.6K or 8.0K nozzles. The explosive operating element and exceptional deflection properties meet the challenges of rapid response extended coverage standards. The K-factor of 11.2 (161) makes the VK538 concealed fast response nozzle suitable for systems requiring higher water densities, as well as situations where available water pressure is limited. Potential applications include casinos, hotel centers, retail environments, libraries, auto showrooms, and shopping malls. VK538 is listed for coverage areas as large as 20 x 20 ft.
