Viking Freedom® Residential Concealed Sprinkler VK494 is a small, heat-resistant residential sprinkler designed for installation on concealed duct systems where the appearance of a smooth ceiling is required. . The hole design, with a K Factor of 4.9 (70.6 meters), allows the sprinkler to efficiently utilize the available water supplies for the hydraulically designed fire suppression system. Rapidly responsive bulb operating elements and exceptional deflection properties meet the challenges of residential sprinkler standards. The sprinkler comes pre-assembled with a thread adapter for installation with a low-profile small diameter cap assembly mounted to the ceiling. The two-piece design allows the sprinkler to be installed and tested before the visor is installed.
The Viking VK494 Sprinkler Head has an anti-push design on the platform, on the base of a concealed panel assembly allowing the mounting of the cover plate after the system has been tested and the ceiling finish has been applied, and also provides to 1/2 13 mm) adjusts vertically. The cover assembly can be removed and reinstalled, allowing temporary removal of ceiling panels without taking the sprinkler system out of service or removing the sprinklers. Electroless Nickel PTFE (ENT) coatings have been studied for installation in corrosive environments and are listed as corrosion resistant by C-UL-US-EU as outlined in the Approval Chart. The ENT finish is available for waterjet assembly only, the cover plate is not plated.
