Detailed description of Viking ARC 3X3S C6 Foam Fire Extinguishing Solution
Viking ARC 3X3S C6 Foam Fire Extinguisher is a highly effective multi-purpose foaming concentrate (AR-AFFF) consisting of fluorocarbon and hydrocarbon surfactants mixed with a wide range of solvents, preservatives and stabilizer. The foam forms a film of water that quickly cuts off the oxygen supply and knocks down the fire. As a result, it is highly effective on hydrocarbon fires. With the addition of special polymers, it is also highly effective against polar solvent liquids. The expanded foam, which the film is released, forms a stable blanket that prevents the release of flammable vapors and cools the fuel surface extinguishing the fire and preventing reign. The low surface tension of the aqueous foam allows the aqueous film, although heavier than the flammable vapor, to float on the surface of the liquid. When applied on polar solvent fuel fires, a polymeric film is formed and facilitates the foam blanket for effective extinguishing. This works on destructive foam polar solvent liquids such as pure MTBE or Gasoline blended with MTBE.Viking ARC3X3S should be used at 3% solution volume on both hydrocarbons and polar solvent liquids.
