Viking,VK810,VK811,VK812,VK813,VK814,VK815,VK816,VK817 : Viking Model E nozzle, 3D nozzle is an open type nozzle designed for directional spray applications in fire protection systems fixed fire. They are open only (non-automatic) design with an external deflector that discharges a solid uniform conical nozzle of low to medium velocity water droplets. Model E nozzles are available in a variety of hole sizes and nozzle angles to meet design application requirements, and they include a ½ NPT (DN15) outer pipe. The base material is brass, while electrolytic nickel plating can be applied to the complete assembly for applications requiring corrosion resistance.
The injection angle is the discharge angle included for each Viking,VK810,VK811,VK812,VK813,VK814,VK815,VK816,VK817, and is also marked on the deflector. Discharge pressures 10, 20 and 60 PSI (0.7 bar, 1.4 bar and 4.1 bar). Note that the Model E Nozzle is rated for a maximum discharge pressure of 175 PSI (12 bar). At pressures above 60 PSI (4.1 bar), the spray pattern begins to decrease in width due to the draw in of the spray sample. (Nozzles with K-factors of 3.2, 4.1, 5.6 and 7.2 are machined holes.) Optional discharge plugs are available for protection dust and insect infestation and other debris accumulation.
