The EVA-DPH dual optical detector goes a step further and uses both infrared and blue LEDs to provide a more accurate measurement of the particles in the chamber. By calculating the ratio of these light sources, operating at different wavelengths, EVA-DPH is able to determine the particle size and thus distinguish between smoke and non-combustible products such as steam and dust. . EVA-DPH initiates alarms in response to both rapid acceleration and fxed heat (57°C) conditions.
