Detailed description of Viking Model VFC Foam Container
Viking Model VFC Foam Containers are suitable for the protection of fixed roof tanks and are used as low expansion Class II dischargers (as defined by NFPA11) with Concentrators and Scales. approved and/or listed foam. The foam chamber is designed to apply an expanded foam blanket over the surface of a flammable liquid fire as lightly as possible to achieve vapor suppression and/or containment. A deflector on the inside of the tank directs the expanded foam back the wall of the tank. The foam flows down the tank wall on top of the liquid, minimizing flooding and fuel uptake, thereby maximizing the positive effect of the foam. The expanded Deluge foam system is the preferred protection for outdoor flammable liquid storage tanks. Typical applications include manufacturing plants, large tank farms, refineries, and chemical plants.
