The Naffco Foam Mixer is used for one of the most common applications for sump protection in vertical liquid storage tanks with internal floating roofs with low expansion foam systems. The application of suction foam is on a risk basis including the area within the annular ring between the rim of the floating roof and the tank shell. The commonly used foam system design guidelines conform to the NFPA11 standard. Foam manufacturers are identified by NFPA 11 as a Class II discharge outlet to provide low expansion suction foam to the seal. Foam manufacturers are widely used with Inline foam induction systems, pressure equalization foam systems, bladder tank systems and foam tenders.
