- Installation and construction of automatic fire alarm system
- Along with the development of society, there is an increase in natural and environmental hazards, causing serious consequences for people and property. Fire and explosion are a huge danger. , it threatens the safety of our lives. To prevent fires from occurring, an automatic fire alarm system is the best choice to ensure the safety of people and their property.
- So what is an automatic fire alarm system?
- Automatic fire alarm system is a system consisting of many devices that automatically detect and notify the fire location when a fire or explosion occurs, and it operates continuously 24/7.
- In particular, with an automatic fire alarm system using a smoke detector, it also has the important task of ''warning'', that is, detecting and reporting impending fires and smoldering fires when there is no flame. fire.
- Automatic fire alarm system includes devices such as: Fire alarm center, fire detectors, and other peripheral devices...
- Benefits of using an automatic fire alarm system:
- Foretell impending dangers thanks to a system of smoke detectors, heat detectors, etc.
- Easily handle when incidents occur thanks to fire-fighting equipment that is appropriately designed and very easy to use.
- Avoid dangers and limit the consequences caused by fire.
- Brings a feeling of safety and mental comfort to users.
Basic components of an automatic fire alarm system:
- Fire alarm center: Designed in the form of a cabinet including main equipment: a control mainboard, modules, a transformer and a battery.
- Input devices: Smoke detector, heat detector, gas detector, fire alarm..., emergency switch
- Output devices: Secondary display panel (keyboard), alarm bell, siren, alarm light, exit light, automatic phone dialer.
Classification of automatic fire alarm systems
* Classification according to working principles of fire detectors:
- Automatic fire alarm system using heat detector: This system mainly detects temperature changes in the protected area. This is an automatic fire alarm system that works based on the working principle of a heat fire detector.
- Automatic fire alarm system using smoke detector: is an automatic fire alarm system that works based on the working principle of smoke detector. This system mainly detects an increase in smoke concentration in the protected area.
- Automatic fire alarm system using light fire detector: works based on the working principle of fire detector. This system mainly detects the light enhancement concentration of the fire in the protection area.
- Automatic fire alarm system using mixed fire detectors: is a working system based on the working principle of mixed fire detectors such as: heat and smoke fire detectors, heat and fire fire detectors. This system mainly detects changes in environmental factors in the protected area.
* Classified according to technical characteristics of fire alarm systems:
- Addressable fire alarm system: An automatic fire alarm system capable of accurately reporting fires to each location at each specific address. The protection area of a fire alarm location is limited to only a few dozen square meters depending on the type of fire detector. Currently, the address-based automatic fire alarm system is a smart fire alarm system. This is an automatic fire alarm system that in addition to the normal fire alarm function based on address, it can also measure some environmental parameters of the area where the fire detector is installed such as temperature, smoke concentration,... and the fire detector's impact threshold can be changed according to the requirements of the designer and installer.
- Automatic fire alarm system by region (conventional automatic fire alarm system - Couventional fire alarm system): is an automatic fire alarm system with fire alarm function to an area, a location. The protected area of an area ranges from a few dozen to 2000 m2 depending on the characteristics of that area.
Operating principle of automatic fire alarm system
+ Normally the entire system is in online mode. In this mode, the fire alarm center always has a working check signal to the devices in the system and at the same time the addressable fire detectors, modules... also have response signals to the center. Periodically, over time (depending on setting), the center will print the status of the system and information about equipment that needs maintenance. In the circuit there is always current Io flowing through.
+ In monitoring mode, if the center receives an error signal from the devices or does not receive a response signal from the devices, the center will switch to trouble mode. All information about the problem will be displayed on the LCD liquid crystal screen. When the error is fixed, the problem mode will end and the system will automatically return to normal monitoring mode.
+ When fire occurs in protected areas, changes in the fire's environmental factors (temperature, smoke, light) will affect the fire detectors. When these factors reach the working threshold, the fire detectors will work to create a signal transmitted to the center (including the fire alarm signal and the fire alarm device's address signal). At the fire alarm center, the transmitted signal processing activities will take place according to the installed program to give a signal to notify the fire area through the central speaker and LCD liquid crystal screen. At the same time, the corresponding peripheral devices will activate to signal the fire alarm and perform the proposed tasks.
+ In case the fire alarm center has an additional function to monitor other devices installed, when there is a change in the status of the device, the system will switch to notify the device to be monitored for a change in status. . Information about this change will be displayed on the center's crystal display. This mode will also end automatically if the devices to be monitored return to their normal positions.
When there is a fire phenomenon (sudden increase in temperature, appearance of smoke or sparks), the input devices receive signals and transmit information of the incident to the fire alarm center. The center will process the information received, determine the location of the fire (through zones or addresses) and transmit the information to the output devices. These devices will emit sound and light signals so people can recognize the area where the fire is occurring and take timely action.
