Detailed description of the HD IG & IS . Foam Mixer
The HD IG & IS Foam Mixer is used to produce foam concentrate liquid in the water stream to deliver the solution in proportion of the concentrate liquid and water, to the foam production equipment. The inductors are primarily designed for use in fixed foam installations to provide a simple and reliable method of scaling in constant flow applications. Each inductor is designed for a predefined water pressure to give the correct ratio at that pressure and discharge rate. An increase or decrease in inlet pressure will result in an increase or decrease in flow rate, which in turn will change the ratio.

The materials are available in three different construction materials, wide flow range 75 to 3500 liters per minute at inlet pressure between 6.4 and 12 bar as shown in the chart. Each inductor is precisely factory-calibrated to match the flow, pressure and inductance requirements of the system. This allows accurate performance to be guaranteed and achieved.
To the inductor size, use the following formula:
Q = K P
Q = Total solution flow rate in liters/min.
K = Inductor constant
P = Inlet pressure in kg/sq.cm.
Example: To find K-Factor
Q = 200 LPMP = 8,0 kg / sq.cm.
K = 200 ÷ 8
K = 70,71
This K = 70.71 is within the range of an inductor with a size of 65 NB. Therefore 65 NB inductors should be chosen.
