Description of HD Fire Foam Mixer RCW
- The HD Fire Foam Mixer or proportional controller is used to balance water-focused foam with a wide flow and pressure range. The Proportional Controller is also used with the Bladder Tank Balancing System, Inline Balancing System and Sliding Balance Pump Balancing System.

- The proportional controller works on the venturi principle. When water flows through the faucet at the inlet of the proportional controller, an area of low pressure is created between the inlet faucet and the downflow section known as the diffuser. This low pressure zone causes the concentrated foam to flow through a metering hole at the concentrate inlet and the low pressure zone. Due to changing system needs, the water jet through the Proportional Controller increases or decreases, thereby changing the pressure in the low pressure area of the Proportional Controller. This affects the corresponding pressure on the foam concentrate dosing hole. The system requires the same water pressure and concentration to balance the proportional system.
