- The SD-851TE photoelectric smoke/heat detector combines an optical chamber and a thermal element, which in turn is continuously monitored by an onboard processor using algorithms developed specifically for the device. The alarm signal is activated in the detector only when the processor is satisfied that an actual fire has been detected. By using a combination of inputs, nuisance alarm rates are reduced while at the same time, response times to an actual fire are also improved.
- A wide range of detection bases are available providing compatibility with a wide range of Fire Alarm Control Panels making it ideal for expansion and retrofit applications.
- The handheld remote programming tool can also be used in conjunction with the doctoral detector series to gain access to other advanced features. Available features include: read/write last maintenance date, read chamber contamination level, read thermal element value and perform alarm test.
